Since 2010, opening doors across Africa.

What started as a small office on Mpaka Suswa Road, Nairobi, has grown into a firm that deploys solar-powered surveillance across borders, fits out government offices, and equips institutions with the technology they need to function.

Our story

In 2010, a door opened on Mpaka Suswa Road in Nairobi — with a business registration number and a belief that African infrastructure deserved African-built solutions.

Open Door Africa (formerly Open Door Creative and Promotion Solutions Limited) began as a general supplies and renovation company. The founding belief was simple: that opportunity should be accessible, that solutions should be within reach, and that African businesses can build the infrastructure that protects and powers the continent's future.

"We power what protects you."

Over fifteen years, that early office has grown into a firm that now operates at the intersection of two of the continent's fastest-growing sectors — solar energy and smart security — deploying self-sustaining systems that work where the grid doesn't.

Today, from Nairobi to Cameroon, Open Door Africa is trusted by major parastatals, government ministries, and private institutions. The work spans four divisions, four countries, and a single unifying idea: that integrated, locally-built infrastructure is how Africa powers its future.

The door is open. And what's on the other side is a company that powers what protects you.

Direction

What we work toward.

Our Mission

To develop and integrate cost-effective solutions across all areas of the industry — by providing branded, best-of-breed products and services that consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.

Our Vision

To be the leading one-stop solution provider for quality products, services, and customer satisfaction in Kenya and the wider region.

Core values

The six commitments behind every deployment.

These aren't slogans. They're the standards we hold ourselves to on every project — from a single partition wall to a cross-border surveillance rollout.

01

Integrity

Straight dealing, clean tenders, and the same answer whether the client is in the room or not.

02

Commitment

Projects start and finish on the terms we agreed to — not the ones that become convenient later.

03

Respect

For clients, partners, communities, and the infrastructure we're trusted to build and protect.

04

Teamwork

Four divisions working as one partnership, with a single point of accountability to the client.

05

Customer Satisfaction

Measured in repeat mandates, not in marketing. We want the call back, not just the handover.

06

Sustainability

Solar-first thinking. Local employment. Infrastructure built to outlast the procurement cycle.

Beyond business

The Open Door Young Tech Initiative.

— Our commitment to the next generation

Beyond contracts and deployments, Open Door Africa is committed to nurturing the emerging talent that will drive continuous innovation across the continent.

Through the Open Door Young Tech Initiative, we invest in African engineers, technicians, and apprentices — pairing them with live project work on solar installations, surveillance systems, and ICT infrastructure. Every deployment is also a training deployment.

Because the future of African infrastructure should be built by the people who live in it.
